- Yes of course ! This course will give you Easy and Accessible adjustment techniques to use, and as you progress in your experience you can add other techniques included here too.
- What will I learn in this course ?
- You will learn specific adjustment techniques for all asana categories (standing, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions) and more than three adjustments per asana explored ( 29 asanas are covered in this course). You will also learn how to adjust and give a neck, head and forehead massage in Savasana You will also learn how to apply those techniques in a safe way and how to create trust in your students before providing the hands-on assist. Additionally you will learn the foundations of hands-on assists; the different categories of adjustments, why and what they are important for, how they play an important role in the Student/Teacher relationship, why are adjustments important for progress not only at physical level but also at an emotional and psychological level.
- Are there any pre-requirements for this course ?
- No. As a yoga teacher you don't need to have experience either teaching or assisting students during the asana practice because this course will give you all the tools you need to understand adjustments, what they are for and how they work in the student body and practice. You will also learn about asana alignment, the most common "misalignment" and you will get easy a more complex techniques to help the students go closer to the ideal pose but also breathing rhythm and presence
- Which poses are included in this course ?
- Standing Asanas : Mountain, Warrior 1 and 2, Triangle, Extended Side Angle. Forward Bends : Standing Forward Fold A and B, Pyramid, Seated Forward Bend, Janu sirsasana A (head to knee forward bend) and Baddha Konasana (bound angle). Backbends : Upward Facing Dog, Locust, Bow, Camel, Bridge and Wheel. Twists : Revolved Side Angle, Revolved Triangle, Revolved Chair, Seated Spinal Twist and Reclining Eagle Twist.
